This concept for the Chicago Lyric Opera House is located at Navy Pier right where the Chicago River meets Lake Michigan. We began with a circle and pulled it apart making various cut outs to fit the programming needs. The building emphasizes just as  much importance on the back of house programming as it does for the auditorium and public spaces. The auditorium seats 1,800 people and is both intimate and spacious at the same time.
